Forex money management, is a set of trading rules that a trader must follow.

This time, it is not the rule of trading strategies per se, but the rules of capital management.

These rules are intended to prevent bad trades, or a series of bad trades, that inevitably occur in trading, and quickly deplete the trader’s capital.

In fact, margin trading and leverage increases the potential for gains, but also the risk of losing your invested capital. So you have to set rules to protect your capital.

With losses, the level of anxiety of the trader grows, and despite common sense, he increases the volume of trades in the hope of restoring his balance and quickly recovering the lost money. But what often happens is the opposite, and the novice trader loses a lot of his capital.

Learning money management allows a trader to avoid losing a lot of money in bad forex trading conditions.

For example, a trader refrains from risking more than 2% of his capital per trade, so it will take a very long series of losses, and less likely, for the trader to lose all his money, unlike if his trades are more than his capital.

We must also refrain from risking more than 5% of the capital on multiple open positions at the same time. To open a new position, we must first reduce the risk to other open positions.

Stop trading for a day if you lose more than 5% of your capital in the same day.

This can also lead to restrictions on the number of losing trades. Stop trading for the next day in case of two or three losses in a row.

For forex trading, it is necessary to perform analyzes on currency pairs. There are two schools of market analysis and trading decision making.

Technical Analysis

Technical analysis of the currency market is largely defined as it is related to charts. Anytime you take a look at the chart, you are actually performing an instant technical analysis of the chart in front of you, whether it is an analysis of the stock market, currencies or other.

The reasoning behind graph analysis comes from the famous Dow Theory formulated by Charles Dow. Which is about supply and demand.

His concept was that any effect on supply and demand would affect prices and appear on real-time charts. Furthermore, classical technical analysis is against taking into account anything beyond the price chart, believing that such data is not important and relevant.

All of the above is focused on technical analysis of the currency market – it only looks at what has already been recorded by the market. This makes it a challenge to the trader with the following: How can the trader succeed in the future if all he knows is just general and prior knowledge of market movements and analysis?

Fundamental Analysis

The basic assumption in the fundamental analysis of the currency market – forex, as well as other financial markets, is that the price of an asset may differ from its value. For this reason, some markets may sometimes price an asset, increasing or decreasing its price in the short term.

Fundamentalists claim that although they are priced in the short term, assets will always return to the correct price in the end. The ultimate goal of conducting a fundamental analysis of the financial markets is to discover the true value of the asset, compare it with the current price, and determine the trading opportunity from it.

The price chart is of little importance in the fundamental currency analysis of the forex market. Instead, it uses economic data, including interest rates, inflation, gross domestic product, retail reports, jobs and unemployment reports, or trade balance ratios.

In general, the basic currency analysis of the foreign exchange market is not a tool that provides you with accurate entry and exit points for trades. However, knowledgeable traders are able to predict the market’s movements with it in the long term. And adjust trading opportunities in that period of price corrections.

But what is the best forex analysis?

The most common method that individual traders should follow is the hybrid approach to market analysis and decision making.

The trader can follow forex charts and practice technical analysis, while following the economic calendar and current events.

In fact, when data or news is published, it affects prices and can defeat technical analysis.

The combination of the two approaches enables the trader to determine the direction of forex prices, the locations of entry and exit points, as well as the high volatility risks around the release of big data and economic announcements.

For example, when NFP data on US non-farm employment is released, the dollar tends to fluctuate aggressively, which increases the risk of loss for the novice trader.

Finally, it should be noted that in general, the longer the trading horizon, the more important fundamental analysis becomes, because some news is likely to affect prices in a prolonged manner.

Capital management is one of the most important aspects of Forex trading.
-It’s not only about having a successful strategy, but also following rules to protect your capital. -Leverage and margin trading can lead to large gains, but they also increase the risk of losing your invested capital. -Anxiety is part of Forex trading, and it’s important to manage it in order to stay disciplined in your trades.
